Step 1: Dry the Rosemary (if using fresh)
-
Oven: Preheat to 40–50°C, place the sprigs on parchment paper, and dry for 1–2 hours, turning them every 30 minutes.
-
Air drying: Tie the sprigs into small bundles and hang them in a dry, ventilated place for 2–3 days.
-
Dehydrator: Follow the instructions of your device.
The rosemary is ready when the leaves are dry and crumble easily.
Step 2: Remove the Leaves
-
Strip the leaves from the stems using your fingers or a small knife.
-
Discard the stems and keep only the leaves.
Step 3: Grind the Leaves
-
Place a small amount of leaves in the grinder.
-
Blend until you obtain a fine powder (or slightly coarse, depending on your preference).
-
Sift the powder through a fine sieve to remove larger pieces.
